Meet Jodi Thierer, Legacy Realty of Kansas
Jodi Thierer, REALTOR®
Jodi is a Kansan from birth and has lived most of her adult life in Manhattan. She graduated from Kansas State University with Bachelor of Science degrees in Business and Human Ecology and earned her MBA from KSU as well. She was on the faculty in the College of Business Administration at KSU for 15 years where she taught marketing and retailing. In 1996 she was awarded the Outstanding Undergraduate Teaching Award.
Her professional real estate career began in 1996. In 2000 she opened Grand Mère Realty as the Broker/Sales Manager, a position she held until the closing of that agency in 2014. Jodi has been recognized by the Flint Hills Association of REALTORS® for her sales productivity, placing her in the top 5% of local members. She holds professional designations with the Graduate REALTOR® Institute (GRI), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR).
Jodi has been actively involved in the Flint Hills Association of REALTORS® serving as chairperson for many committees including Professional Standards, MLS, Education, By-Laws, and Fort Riley Housing. In 2007 she served as the association President, and in 2008 she was named REALTOR® OF THE YEAR by her peers.
Community involvement has been a priority for Jodi, and she has volunteered her time and talents in a number of capacities including the Chi Omega sorority, Junior League of the Flint Hills, Allegro Ringers at the First United Methodist Church, Ahearn Scholarship Fundraising for Kansas State University, as well as numerous short term board appointments and advisory positions throughout the community and KSU.
